Bangkok has amazing food. Not many people would argue that point. What’s even better is that often the best food in Bangkok is the cheap street food. Here are my favorite foods I have eaten in Bangkok.
We returned to Bangkok after two months away. It almost felt like coming home. We love the city. Our teenagers love this city. When it was time to leave for Sri Lanka, we were all a bit sad, not know when the next time we would return to this amazing city. Here are some things our teenagers enjoyed doing in Bangkok.
It took a while for Krabi Town to grow on me. We spent a night in this jumping off point for the islands in southern Thailand before taking a ferry to Koh Lanta. Then stayed 3 more nights before returning to Bangkok.
Six months is a long time to be away from the ocean for a family who lives in Hawaii and we were missing the beach.
So it was time to head to southern Thailand. We wanted to avoid overcrowded, party beaches. So we looked for a laidback beach where we could tumble out of a bungalow and walk a few steps to the sand.
Teenagers are not the easiest travel companions. They can be moody and often miss their friends back home. Finding activities they enjoy can perk up a teenager and help them forget their homesickness. Here are some fun things we did with our teens in Chiang Mai.
It is no secret that one of our favorite things to do while traveling is eat, especially local foods. I have no doubt that one of the reasons we love Chiang Mai so much is its wide selection of amazing food to eat. Here are our top places to eat in Chiang Mai.
If you are going to Chiang Mai be sure to put Art in Paradise on your itinerary. Our family visited in November of 2015 and had so much fun! We spent hours jumping in and out of the art work, taking hundreds of photos.
Chiang Mai is known for its beautiful Buddhist wats. You could spend a whole day or more wandering around the old city visiting these ornate temples.
After visiting Chiang Mai and exploring the wats on two different occasions, I thought I had seen all of the interesting wats in around the old city.
“It’s been cancelled,” said Rand, a look of distress on his face.
“What?”
“The mass lantern release for Yi Peng at Mae Jo University, it’s been cancelled.”
